Our history, our passion

Our roots go back more than 80 years to Hanoi, where our great-grandparents opened their first restaurant – laying the foundation for a family tradition that is still alive today. Over the generations, what was passed on wasn’t just recipes, but a true passion for food and hospitality.
More than 20 years ago, this tradition brought us to Regensburg, where we opened HA TIEN. The name combines the first names of our parents, Ha and Tien, who built the restaurant and still work in the kitchen with dedication every day.
But HA TIEN is more than just a family business. It’s our second home – and that’s the feeling we want to share with you: here, you’re not just a guest, but a friend who becomes part of our story.
Today, we – the next generation – carry on this legacy. After finishing school in Regensburg and studying business in Munich, each of us now runs one of the family restaurants, keeping our parents’ vision alive for the future.
In 2024, we reached another milestone: both HA TIEN and our second restaurant Cô Hà were certified by the IHK Regensburg as official training establishments. Right by the Danube, Cô Hà not only offers Vietnamese cuisine and a summer terrace, but also gives young people the chance to learn the craft of gastronomy with us.
